CLAUDIA BRUEMMER

Born in Italy, Claudia is a California writer who is fascinated with words and the English language -- a real logophile.

She is fluent in Italian, studied Latin and Spanish, dabbles in German and French, but loves to listen to Japanese. She loves the cadence of different languages even if she can’t understand the words.

Her writing experience runs the gauntlet – she once earned her living as a technical writer, editing engineering and software manuals. As a training specialist, she wrote training manuals and a training newsletter. Her psychology background led her to the marketing and training fields, where she first wrote training manuals for employee continuous improvement programs. Then, as a marketing specialist, she wrote product descriptions, spec sheets, sales brochures, and advertising copy, also creating an in-house company newsletter. Once she got her first writing job with an Internet startup, she started devoting herself exclusively to Internet writing.

One of Claudia’s first online writing jobs was as a copy editor for a starup called ClickZ. Within a year, she became the Managing Editor (1998-2001). From there, she continued writing articles, email newsletters, business communications and web page copy for Web-Ignite, Trademark SEO, Bruce Clay, Inc. and TopTenWholesale. Currently, Claudia has added SearchEngineWatch and SEMPO to her client list. She is also a guest blogger for TopTenWholesale and WholesaleU.

Meet Claudia Bruemmer

Claudia has a B.A. and M.A. in Psychology, as well as a Lifetime Psychology Teaching Credential from the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges. Early on, Claudia realized her writing and vocabulary skills were unique. Those skills helped her achieve a 4.0 in grad school and score in the top percentile in writing and vocabulary on the CBEST (California Basic Educational Skills Test). 

Instead of going into teaching, Claudia went into the business training field as a Training Specialist with International Computers and Telecommunications, Inc. Eventually, she started writing and editing online for Internet startups. Claudia has been an Internet writer and editor for the past ten years. Her employment background is in writing, editing, training, marketing and advertising.
